Group Last Expense
Funerals can be emotional, draining and costly especially in our traditional set up and that is
why a last expense cover has been specially cushioned to cater for that and forfeit the funeral
expense of a family member Our last expense cover is categorized into individual and group
cover. For Groups, it is for a minimum number of 10 people.

Who is covered?

This policy covers the principal member and five members of the nuclear family i.e. spouse and
four children, parents(Max 2), parents in law(max 2).An additional dependant i.e. Child and
parents can be covered at an additional and affordable premium depending on the preferred
benefit level. Children are covered up to the age of 18 or up to 24 years if they are still under the
parents care or in college/university. Minimum age at entry for children is 3 months. Upper age
limit for the principal member, spouse, parents and parents in law is 75 years at entry and
maximum exit age is at 85 years subject to continuous cover renewal.

When does the cover start?

A waiting period of 3 months from the date of policy commencement and subject to full premium
payment. In the event of natural death within the waiting period, no benefit is payable. There is
no waiting period for accidental death. On policy renewal, the full premium should be paid within
30 days of cover renewal.

Does the policy Lapse after making a claim?

In the case of the single claim cover, the policy lapses on making one claim, however one can
renew the cover immediately for the remaining members of his/her family. In the case of the
multiple claim cover, the cover will lapse after 3 claims are made within 12 months of policy
commencement or renewal.
